Emily Conway is an associate and the office manager of
MALLORY, LAPKA, SCOTT & SELIN, PLLC.
She graduated from University of Michigan-Flint with
a Bachelor’s degree
Cum Laude in social work in 1998. Thereafter, she
attended and graduated from Western Michigan University
Cooley Law School. She chose a career in law because
she believes it is a meaningful extension of her social work
degree. She has worked in the legal field since 1995
and has long term experience in assisting clients during
difficult and stressful predicaments. Ms. Conway’s
areas of practice include family law, collections,
landlord-tenant, and real property taxation.
Ms. Conway is a Member of the State Bar of Michigan and
Ingham County Bar Association. She is also a Hearing
Referee with the Michigan Tax Tribunal, Small Claims
Division. She is a past Board member of Caring About Kids (2011-2017), a private charitable group whose mission is to enrich the lives of foster children. She is also a member and
current chair of the Lawyers and Judges Assistance Committee
which recommends and supports programs that provide
assistance to lawyers and judges faced with personal and
professional problems related to addiction and stress. She has also lectured for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and is a regular presenter at Focus on Children, a program provided by the Ingham County Friend of the Court for parent education exploring the dynamics of divorce, separation, co-parenting, and the challenge of raising children in two households.
